The Blessing of Redemption

Gordon Robertson explains what it means to be chosen by God and to experience the blessing of redemption with this teaching from Ephesians chapter 1.

Scripture: Ephesians 1:1-8 (NASB)

Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, To the saints who are at Ephesus and who are faithful in Christ Jesus: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love 5 He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace which He lavished on us.

Disaster Relief Around the World

Gordon Robertson shares how the ministries of CBN are in action around the world bringing relief to areas affected by natural disasters.

Heavy flooding is devastating the country of Niger. CBN International is in the village of Sarando. Many of the houses there are completely destroyed and the entire village needed to be evacuated. Now CBN is working with 175 families that need food and housing. Throughout all of Niger the flooding has killed 65 people and left 125 thousand homeless. Many crops are now destroyed. The West African country was already suffering from severe food shortages because of recent drought.

And in Haiti, Operation Blessing‘s Jody Getty’s reports that clean water is crucial to keep the cholera epidemic from getting worse.

“The biggest concern is clean water and mudslides. so Operation Blessing has a big tanker full of water we’re going to the different villages providing clean water. Again, something we already did, but ramping up efforts to help protect people from cholera. I think cholera is our biggest concern in Haiti.”

We spoke to Jody via Skype from Pensacola Beach, Florida. She and an Operation Blessing team are heading west along the gulf coast with a mobile kitchen, heavy equipment, and tools once the storm clears. The team is ready to coordinate with volunteers to bring whatever disaster relief is necessary.
