Believe In the Lord Your God

Gordon Robertson goes to the Old Testament to encourage believers to trust in God Almighty when life is at its most challenging.

SCRIPTURES:
Chronicles 20:20-22 (NKJV)
20 So they rose early in the morning and went out into the Wilderness of Tekoa; and as they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Hear me, O Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem: Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.” 21 And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed those who should sing to the Lord, and who should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army and were saying: “Praise the Lord, For His mercy endures forever.” 22 Now when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated.

Job 35:10 (NKJV)
God my Maker, Who gives songs in the night.

  1. Gordon, This past week the Lord has been impressing the same message upon me about remembering the Mercy of The LORD is new Every Morning.
We can–as Moses did, as Hezekiah did, as the centurian did–go to God and change His plans.
Ps 107 is full of God’s judgments, people cried out to God for His mercy and He stopped them and saved them. Israel’s history is full of examples. Even Jesus first miracle is about changing God’s plans. Jesus plainly told His mom it was Not time for Him to start doing miracles–yet He did it…because He loved her.
He loves us too. We are children of God. We have the name of Jesus, the Word, the Blood and the Holy Spirit.
I believe we are to pray for our country EXPECTING a Great outpouring of the Holy Spirit like the world has never seen.
He tuned Rome into a Christian empire in one day when Constantine got saved.
Nothing is impossible with our God. Praise the Lord!

Thank you and all of CBN for faithfully bringing the Word and for taking it and help to others. I love being a partner. Since becoming a partner God has erased all my debts–a little over 15K. We do serve a powerful, wonderful loving God. He can open doors of favor in places we haven’t even expected or thought of, and lavish His blessings upon us so much that people around us will be in awe, asking us about our God. Let it be, Lord Jesus–all to Your glory–let it be!!!
