“But of that Day and Hour No One Knows”

Many believe the Mayans have predicted the end of the world will come on December 21, 2012. Could it be? Gordon Robertson teaches on the topic.

Matthew 24:36 (NKJV)
“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but my Father only.”

Matthew 24:29-31 (NKJV)
“Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.”

  1. This comment is directed to Gordon regarding something he said TWICE on the program on Dec. 14. Gordon you said that we did NOT have to please God. My goodness, surely that is not something you meant to say. I realize that you had been talking about the Mayans trying to please God by outrageous sacrifices like piercing their tongues and doing human sacrifices. Of course that is not a way to please God. But to make a statement that we DON’T have to please God is simply unbiblical! For someone who might be weak in the faith or an unbeliever a statement like that gives a very wrong impression if it is not explained. In Ephesians 5:10 it says, “Carefully determine what pleases the Lord.” I don’t have to tell you about the verses where Jesus himself said, “If you love me, keep my commandments.” That refers to the same idea. Please keep this in mind in the future. I would hate to see the 700 Club go the way of so many these days which are watering down the gospel to make it appealing to people.

  2. No one knows the day or hour of Christ Return only God knows. Yes I would like it to end soon. but I will not predict. Just pray for God’s kingdom to come!
