The Message of Christ in Russian

Gordon Robertson shares about the new CBN website that is changing lives in Russian speaking parts of the world.

In one month, almost 4,000 people accepted Jesus after viewing CBN’s Russian website poiskboga.com. This website is part of CBN’s strategy to reach today’s generation of Russia speakers with the gospel message. The website launched in 2008 and so far 1.6 million people have visited and over 158,000 people have prayed to accept Jesus. Users can view stories of people who said the prayer of salvation and made an online decision to personally accept Jesus Christ.  CBN staff members follow up with new Christians and help enroll them in a discipleship course.  This website is a partnership with Jesus.net, a global network of Christian ministries engaged in evangelism on the Internet.

God Transforms Lives in Hong Kong

Gordon Robertson shares the report of transformed lives as a result of CBN’s ministry in Hong Kong.

Over the past ten years CBN has produced hundreds of stories about Chinese people whose lives have been transformed by God’s love.  The stories are the core of 700 Club Hong Kong, CBN’s ministry program produced in Cantonese.  Many of these story subjects joined CBN Hong Kong staff recently in a walkathon that raised more than $15,000 to support CBN’s ministry to Chinese people. CBN also provides humanitarian relief to some of the poorest people and works closely with churches in Hong Kong.

CBN Hong Kong is on Facebook.

Television Program Changing Lives in Philippines

Gordon Robertson shares how a CBN Holy Week television program in the Philippines is still touching lives after five years.

More than two thousand people in the Philippines gave their lives to Jesus Christ after watching CBN’s yearly TV drama, Shackles.  Now in it’s fifth year, Shackles airs nationwide in the Philippines during Holy Week.  The program features true-to-life stories of individuals who have overcome the difficulties of life because of their faith in Jesus Christ.  Shackles aired on Good Friday and Saturday, reaching almost nine million homes in Manila and nearby provinces.  Viewers responded positively about the impact of the program. One viewer wrote, “once more your stories have proven that nothing is impossible with God.”

Superbook Receives Powerful Audience Response in Mexico

Gordon Robertson shares about the Mexican television debut of CBN’s animated series Superbook.

CBN’s Superbook received a powerful audience response after its first airing in Mexico Saturday. The program ran in thirty-one states on one of Mexico’s top television networks, Cadena-Tres, known for its extensive weekend children’s programming. Three back-to-back episodes of Superbook were shown. “The Miracles of Jesus,” “The Last Supper” and “He is Risen”.

After the shows, a salvation message was presented and a special invitation was given to call CBN Mexico. Callers could receive prayer, take part in a Superbook survey and receive a devotional. So many callers flooded CBN, many of them received busy signals. So they began sending messages through CBN’s website and on Facebook.

One of the largest churches in Mexico, Amistad Cristinia, also helped promote the Superbook shows with a special event including an appearance by Gizmo, a character from Superbook. So far, more than a hundred prayers for salvation were reported from the shows and the promotion while even more are expected.
