Providing Aid for Thailand Fire Victims

Gordon Robertson shares the CBN reaction to a disastrous fire that destroyed a refugee camp in Thailand.

CBN was quick to respond after a devastating fire swept through a refugee camp in western Thailand on March 21. More than two thousand people were left homeless. The people in the camp are Burmese Karen refugees and seventy percent of them are Christian.  CBN partnered with a local church to provide immediate aid by supplying clothing, shoes and cooking items. Future help includes possible medical supplies and tents for temporary use until a church that was destroyed can be rebuilt. Christian Burmese survivors kept their faith in God despite the tragedy, stating ‘life will always have hardships but our God is greater and He gave us hope.’
