Faith of a Child

Over the past couple of days I have been thinking about how strong the faith I had when I was five years old, and how much I would love to have that faith once again. I remember my family and I were going to move from our home town to Vancouver, BC in the mid 80s. I remember praying for a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom and two car garage, being from a lower income family this would be impossible. However, I remember pulling up to a two story house and all my prayers were answered. Some how we were able to afford this large home. Amen. More recently my young family were looking for a rental place, and I prayed with the same mindset as my childhood, when looking at several place's and being turned down, I claimed one of the home's as our new home. We were about to leave the city then received a telephone call from the place I claimed in the name of Jesus and we were the successful applicants. Once again praise the lord for hearing my prayers and providing us with all the finances needed to make it work.

I would like to constantly have the strong faith I had as a child, no prayer was to big or small. I have promised myself to try having that faith when praying about anything, but it is hard when you are wondering if the prayer is to extravagant or something that is to small to ask for.

I remember my late father's faith was so strong in the Lord, I remember hearing about him having a flat tire then prayed then the tire reinflated with air and he was hours from any place to get air. Another point in time, he and my mom needed new car tire's but had no money, then while driving they happened to find four new tires on the side of the road. They were also blessed on several occasions when they needed money. But they did continually help people in need and also tithe their last bit of money having faith the Lord would provide which he always did.

I hope one day I can have the faith I did as a child or the faith of my late dad. I continue to pray and thank our Lord for every prayer that was answered and patiently await the Lord's answer . Until then I will remember this scripture - When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen. Isaiah 60:22
