Bible Study " Forgivness at the Cross "

January 27, 2014 by elle   Comments (2)

Dear Heavenly Father as I did this bible study , I felt led by your spirit to post it. I pray that it will touch and open minds. This is God's word and it is for God's glory. Amen
1Corinthians 1:8
He will keep you strong until the end so that on the day when our Lord Jesus Christ comes, you will be free from all blame. God is faithful. He is the one who has chosen you to share life with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Paul Guaranteed these and all Believers that God would consider "Blameless" when Christ jesus returns. This guarantee was not because of their great gifts or their shining performance, "BUT BECAUSE" of what Jesus Christ accomplished for them through his " DEATH AND RESURRECTION"
All who Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ Will be condisiderd "BLAMELESS" when Jesus returns !
Todays struggles, difficulties, and failures don't tell the whole story. Keep The big picture in mind .
If you have faith in Jesus Christ, even if it is weak , you ARE and will be SAVED !

Ephesians 1:7
In Christ we are made free by his blood sacrifice. We have forgiveness of sins because of God’s rich grace. God gave us that grace fully and freely. With full wisdom and understanding he let us know his secret plan. This was what God wanted, and he planned to do it through Christ. 10 God’s goal was to finish his plan when the right time came. He planned that all things in heaven and on earth be joined together with Christ as the head
Note: God's Grace is God's voluntary and loving favor given to thoes he saves. We can't earn salvation, nor do we deserve it !
No religious, intellectual, Or  Moral effort can gain it, Because it comes only from Gods mercy and love.
With out God's grace no person can be saved.
To receive it,  We must acknowledge that we can not save our selfs, That only God can save us. The only way to recieve this loving favor is throug " Faith in Jesus Christ"
Many people still do not understand God's plan. Alot of people think the only way to Heaven is by becoming a Super Hero Christians. They think it is by works that they are saved.
People do not understand God's plan. But when the time is right, God will bring us together to be with him forever. God is savereign. He is in charge. When your life seems chaotic , rest in this truth:  Jesus is lord and God is in Control. God's purpose to save you can not be thwarted. No matter what evil satan may bring.
Thwarted= pervent someone from accomplishing something.

1Thessalonians 3:13 This will strengthen your desire to do what is right, and you will be holy and without fault before our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy people.
Note:At that time ( Second coming of Christ) Christ will gather all believers .

Hebrews 9:27 Everyone must die once. Then they are judged. 28 So Christ was offered as a sacrifice one time to take away the sins of many people. And he will come a second time, but not to offer himself for sin. He will come the second time to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

Note: All People die physically, but Christ died so that "We Would Not" have to die spiritually.  We can, and should, have wonderfull CONFIDENCE in his saving work for us, doing away with PAST-PRESENT-AND FUTURE Sin. When he died on the cross , he sacrificed himself once and for all. He has given us the Holy Spirit to help to help us deal with our present sins. To convict our hearts to confess and repent.
he appears for us now in Heaven as our high Priest.  He promises to return , and raise us to eternal life in a world with out sin.

Hebrews 9:14 So surely the blood sacrifice of Christ can do much more. Christ offered himself through the eternal Spirit as a perfect sacrifice to God. His blood will make us completely clean from the evil we have done. It will give us clear consciences so that we can worship the living God.
Note: Though you know Christ, you may believe that you have to work hard to make your self Good enough for God !   But rules and rituals have never cleansed peoples hearts !
By The Blood Of Jesus Christ
1. We have our consciences cleansed
2. We are free from deaths sting and can live to serve god
3. We are free from sins power.
If you are carrying a load of guilt because you are finding that you can't be good enough for God, Take another look at Jesus death and what it means for you.
Christ Jesus can HEAL YOUR CONSCIENCE and deliver you from the frustration of trying to earn God's favor.
Bring your guilt ridden life to Jesus Christ, confess your inability to clean up your own conscience, ask him to forgive you.
Thank him for his deliverance. God can forgive you and clear your record, no matter how bad it might be to you.

Lord i pray this your word will touch hearts and open blind minds. There are alot of people who think it is by good behavior that they can enter into your kinkdom. I pray that this message will ease minds and allow people the freedom they have in Christ Jesus, that his blood is all we need, plus faith in it.
Jesus asked when he returns "will he find Faith on earth"
I hope this study helps people learn that Faith in Jesus is all we need. That in Time the power of Jesus's love will help us to live the way Jesus would like us to live, with faith and love.
I had many issue's of believing that it was by faith alone that got me to the promise land. I had so much guilt.
But God's word is ture ! it is powerful ! God not only healed me , but he also healed my Conscience.
I carried alot of guilt because I was a back slider. I did alot of wrong and hurt a lot of people. I hated my self.
But it was by Gods grace that I am still here, writeing to you.
God forgave me, he can and will forgive you too.
God bless us all.

Are you angry with yourself ?

Scripture: "No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, Who loved us. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow - not even the powers of hell can separate us from God's love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below - indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:37-39).

I really hate what I do sometimes. I get so frustrated with stupid things I've said or done, or mistakes I've made. It's taken me a long time to learn how to ignore my mistakes and embarrassments that I've brought upon myself.

Anger Towards Yourself

Many years ago, I accidentally upset one of my dear aunties; what I said almost made her cry! I hate upsetting people, and I would never intentionally hurt someone, especially someone I love. So can you imagine how angry I was with myself? For literally years, I would kick myself when I thought of that incident, despite the fact that my aunt herself had easily forgiven me when I apologized for my blunder. What about you? Do you know how to forgive and let go of resentment toward yourself? Or do you hold on to anger against yourself that’s hindering your relationships with God and with others?

No More Righteous Than God

God doesn’t want His people to hold things against each other nor against themselves. The Apostle Paul wrote, “forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others” (Colossians 3:13). “Anyone” includes yourself! The Lord has forgiven you. If you are holding something against yourself, remember: you are not more righteous than God. Since He can forgive you, you can surely forgive yourself.

God's Forgiveness

St. John the Beloved explained, “if we confess our sins to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness” (1 John 1:9). He wants us to “come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive His mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most” (Hebrews 4:16). We want to imitate God in His graciousness and mercy, and He promised that He “will forgive their wickedness, and [He] will never again remember their sins” (Jeremiah 31:34).

Like I said, the incident when I upset my aunt was a long time ago. Since then, God has taught me to be more like Him in forgetting sins. He showed me that I was clinging to disgust with myself for far too long, and I’ve learned to let go of self-resentment instead. I thank Him that I can’t recall any more recent incidents in which I’ve frustrated myself to the point of resentment. And actually, the next time I made my aunt almost cry, I didn’t want to forget, because it was with joy at my wedding!

Prayer, Care and Share Jesus

* The Prayer, Care and Share (PCS) series is a guide to help you pray and care for others and share your faith in Jesus *

Scripture: Romans 8:37-39

Is there a self condemning tape recorder playing in your mind about bad things you have done or are still doing today? We’re often our own worst judges. Sometimes things that have happened are really bad. For example:

•You were involved in a serious accident.
•You were involved in a war and had to do things for your country you wish were not necessary.
•You consistently behaved badly (alcohol or drugs) and damaged relationships.
•You lost your temper and your promising career.
•You committed a crime and had to reap the consequences.

Living under the blame of such incidents will keep you far from God. Many times we ask God's forgiveness, but do not forgive ourselves. In Scripture, God says that nothing in creation can separate us, as believers, from the love of God in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:37-39).

This Prayer Letter is a call for you to forgive yourself for the terrible things you have done or were involved in by accident.

Your PRAY NOW Challenge: "Lord, You know the bad things I've done and for which I still blame myself. I know and thank You that You were there with me, and that because I am Your child, nothing can separate me from Your love in Christ Jesus. I ask and thank you for your forgiveness. I also choose to forgive myself and to step into this new freedom You give me, in the Name of Jesus, Amen."

I pray that this will bless somebody today, that it is important to forgive oneself.  May this touch the heart of some one today for your glory. I know how it feels to be angry with my self, for hurting you lord. I thank you for healing me and you have helped me to forgive myself. In Jesus name I pray amen and amen

Are you angry with God ?

Scripture: "And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them." (Romans 8:28).

Why do bad things happen to good people? Why is there so much injustice in the world?

Life Is Unfair

Sin in our world makes it difficult to understand the world as God wants it to be. Bad things happen to "good people," and "good people" sometimes let - or even make - bad things happen. "Everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard" (Romans 3:23). It is so easy to want to sin. Why is life not easier? You might wonder, Why would God make a world where horrible things can happen? You might even be furious with Him. But injustice exists because of sin; God created people "for [His] glory" (Isaiah 43:10).

God Is Just

The Lord said, "I love justice" (Isaiah 61:8), but He hates sin. We cannot hope to understand Him nor our place in the world if we cannot understand that He is righteous, holy, and loving. Bad things happen; however "God does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent" (2 Peter 3:9). The Creator's "purpose was for the nations to seek after God" (Acts 17:27). After sin entered the world, He revealed part of His plan, teaching us to obey: "[The Law] was given alongside the promise to show people their sins" (Galatians 3:19). People could not be justified by the Law alone, but by faith: the Law "protected us until we could be made right with God through faith" (Galatians 3:24).

Trust in Him, Not the World

God sent us Jesus to restore the balance between justice and love. The unfair death of righteous Jesus Christ paid the penalty for the sins of us unrighteous people. "God will also count us as righteous if we believe in Him, the One Who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead" (Romans 4:24). That is why we trust in the Lord as our Saviour -- He paid the price; we accept that gift in faith. The world tells us that we should be angry with a Creator Who allows bad things to happen, but God gave everything (in the death of His Son, Jesus) to show us His love and justice.

Prayer, Care and Share Jesus

* The Prayer, Care and Share (PCS) series is a guide to help you pray and care for others and share your faith in Jesus *

Scripture: Romans 8:28

The Bible tells us that in ALL things God works for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28). But in reality, we see that even people we call “good people”, based on our human standards, can have bad things happen to them:

•A tragic accident.
•The sudden loss of a great job.
•Theft
•Unexpected/unfair death.
•Betrayal in a relationship.

The list could go on!

These are tough situations for anyone to go through. Some of us become angry with God for allowing bad things to happen. We feel let down by God. This feeling is real, and even fully committed followers of Jesus carry these burdens.

Our Savior, Jesus Christ, understands. Before He was falsely accused, condemned, tortured and died on the cross to pay for our sin, He prayed three times that this cup would be taken from Him. (Matthew 26:36-44). Even on the cross, Jesus felt the Father had forsaken Him. My Friend, something like this may have happened in your life. You may be angry with God or blame Him for what happened. NOW is the time to turn to God and know that He has not forsaken you. I encourage you to stand by faith on God's promise of causing all these things to work for your good (Romans 8:28).

Your feelings against God bring separation from Him. They hinder you from following God’s path for your life, and living more like Jesus did. Repent, dear One, and ask forgiveness. And pray that everyone who hears this message ask God to turn their hearts to Him.

Your PRAY NOW Challenge: "Lord, You know how angry, disappointed, or bitter I am because I feel You allowed those bad things to happen in my life. (name them to God). I repent from blaming You and accept Your promise that You work ALL things for the good of those who love You. I declare my love for You. In Jesus name I pray, Amen"

•Pray for blessings on people and places wherever you go;
