For items that don"t require electricity, the Amish and Mennonite supplier Lehmans is a great resource

I would like to answer the question from gold bug – one place is Shelf Reliance. They not only have survival items for purchase, they also have freeze dried foods that can last up to 25 years. The goal is to become prepared and to become self reliant. Many people purchase things that they don’t eat on a regular basis and after years, it becomes trash. You also want to have good quality product on hand that you enjoy and can eat directly out of the can. If you are interested in checking out some of the product, take a look at my website. You can get in by typing the following directly into your URL: donnarae.shelfreliance.com . If you have any questions, you can contact me through the site and I would be more than happy to get back with you. You can also google Shelf Reliance; however, should you choose to order from the company you will receive a discount by going through my site since I have signed up to be an Independent Consultant. If you should like to have a gathering and sample some of the product this can also be arranged. Peace Be With You.

"Buy Food Insurance and The Ready Store ( all on line) sell items. The Red Cross has items that even if you are in an apartment you can store water in a "Water Bob" for the tub and sinks. I have just started but I am well on my way. I have 13 people that depend on me. The saying is " Grandma always has the answer."
