Theresa, taking wheat out of your diet, it is good to take a good multivitamin. We are used to everything having enriched flour in it (the added vitamins in it is the only thing that is really good, that and that it does have a lower glycemic value because of the little bit of protein in the wheat.) So, to avoid the down feeling you describe, be sure to take a multivitamin, including your B vitamins, some timed release C and D. Probiotics help people recover from the 'cose' reactions the other lady describes.

forgot to say... after staying off wheat for a day, I had less desire to binge eat any food, my head felt more clear, and overall I am feeling better (one week now); but there are down times where I do not feel good and I am ASSUMING it's a "healing reaction" as they call it from the toxins being kicked out of the liver into the blood stream. That's the time one says "it's not working" but it says in nutritional books that once the toxins have cleared, then one will feel very good. Maybe 2 weeks or so. Hang in there.
it promises a fact sheet and recipes but every time I click on it I go around in circles and never get where I thought I would go. Only a few desert recipes? Well, I guess, the rest is fruit, vegetables, brown rice and fresh animal products. As a substitute I have tried gluten free bread which is wheat free from Trader Joes. It tastes good but ONLY if toasted as it is very hard. I keep it frozen and toast a slice as needed.
I agree with the finding of Dr. Williams Davis. My husband for years could not eat fruits because they cause diarrea. I changed his diet to wheat free meals. Now he can eat all kind of fruits without any problems. We eat all kind of beans which I cook them very slow. Salads, vegetables and brown rice. He eats gluten free bread. My husband starts loosing weigth (fat). His stomach is getting smaller. Thank you so much for your program, recipes and prayers. Carmen

I purchased his cookbooks, "Cooking your way to good Health" and Eating your way to good health" and could not believe how much better I felt. 10 pounds lighter in 3 weeks, cancelled a shoulder surgery (pain is diminishing), energy galore...and I'm a 57 year old Grammy! I have started eating more RAW foods, made into smoothies with greens, Kale spinach, with fruit and not eating any bread, crackers of any kind and little to know white sugar, some stevia. One weekend I ate cheese cake and a hotpocket, I felt horrible for several days until I could get the TOXIC processed food out of my body! Processed foods, and the excess sugar, wheat, soy and corn that is in them, are making us sick! If we look to the Bible and what God has made for us to eat, IT IS ALL GOOD! And will reverse a lot of illness and diseases. Thanks for these recipes.
I have Celiac disease. After years of vague symptoms that became life-threatening, I moved, got a new Dr. 4 yrs. ago, and got a diagnosis, I have not been ill since. Now I am not accused of being anorexic or bulimeic anymore. I love the clip I saw. Thank you.
From the years 1989 to 2002 I was allergic to "wheat" and "chocolate" if I had either of these I would not be able to breathe. At times I went into a comatose state this happened while I was driving a few times before I found out what it was. After I stopped wheat in my diet I was fine. I had retested in 2002 and the Dr. told me to try small amounts of both and I was fine. I now am gaining weight in the midsection "belly" so I will try this again. I pray this will be my answer.
I speed walk 10 miles 3 to 4 times a week and have been putting on weight. My dream has been to lose the last 20 or so pds. I'm soooooo tired of trying all the different types of diets to lose it. But I will give it one more try. It sounds like it might work.
