For window/glass cleaner, I like to make it in bulk (1 gal)
1 gal jug of water (pour about half out)
2 cups lemon ammonia
1 cup rubbing alcohol
(Then fill the rest of your jug up with water)
Then add 1 tsp Dawn dishsoap.
Swish around- do not shake.
I use this for an all purpose cleaner as well.
Also, for a streak-free shine, use crumpled pages from an old newspaper to clean mirrors/windows.

Says this type of down load can harm your computer - -...
So I'll just pass on another good item for cleaning ... Peroxide...
Check with your Doctor... It is a very good disinfectant...

I've just been looking for some non-toxic cleaning supplies so the timing could not have been better. Buying natural or organic can be so expensive. The last time I cleaned my showers my eyes burnt so bad I could hardly see. Thanks so much!

Thanks for the recipes,it will save us alot in the long run. God Bless. I can't tell you how many times my wife and I tried ideas for around the house that would save us money. After watching how easy it was to mix your recipes, we will never buy name brand again. We hope you come up with more ideas in the future.

There are still some of us who do not have the luxury of a dishwasher... so what is a good recipe for hand washing dishes?

We started making our own laundry detergent because it was so much less expensive, plus you use so little that you're cutting way back on what goes down the drain (in our case into our septic system and eventually the groundwater and creek on our property). Turns out it works WAY better than what you buy and we've tried most all of them. Next are dishwasher detergent and glass cleaner and we've been looking for recipes so this is perfect. Thanks so much!!

Go to the horse section of your local feed store for a bottle with a larger dispersal nozzle or a larger bottle. Remember that fruity smelling sprays will attract mosquitos and yellow jackets to windows and door ways. What would be used to clean ovens and microwaves? What would you use to repel Ants, snakes, and mice?

I would also like a recipe for laundry detergent. Presently I am using just vinegar. It works but perhaps there is something better.
