From September 8 through October 8 Orphan's Promise joined Greg Krause for “Greg’s Great Race”. We followed Greg through 24 cities, and over 55,000 miles on his quest to raise funds for his family’s mission home in Zambia, Africa. The goal is to raise $20k for the purchase of a vehicle to help support the school and boarding home.
The school is 2 hours from the nearest paved road – and the paved roads in Zambia are far different from the paved roads in the U.S.! This vehicle is desperately needed to help care for the children here.
In addition to a school the Krause family began 4 years ago, Oprhan’s Promise has come alongside to help with a boarding home for orphaned and abandoned children. We sponsored this trip for Greg and ask you to join us as he blogs daily and tells of his Great Adventure!
The school is not supported by any outside government or corporate organizations. They rely solely on the hard work and donations of many individuals to help these needy children in Zambia. Greg has dedicated himself to this worthy cause, thank you for coming along and being a part of Greg’s Great Race and helping some very needy kids at the same time.

UPDATE: Message from Terry and Orphan's Promise
A special Thank You to all involved in Greg's Great Race, and what a race it has been! As if 24 cities and 55,000 miles on Jet Blue in one month weren't enough, Greg also got home and ran the Chicago Marathon! I'm thinking, the man is obsessed with travel!
Actually, he's obsessed with trying to help his parents raise the funds necessary to buy the vehicle you see in this article. We've come VERY CLOSE, and we're not done yet. We're waiting to hear on a few more donations that will be coming in, so keep checking on the thermometer over the next week or so to find out if we made (I have a very strong feeling we will!).
In the meantime, we are still accepting donations and would like to thank all those involved in helping to make this wonderful, crazy journey possible!
