>> View All Resources / Fact Sheets

Americans have long been told that foods filled with carbohydrates are responsible for making us gain weight.  However, there is new research that reveals just the opposite is true: carb-filled foods can actually help us manage and maintain our weight! In this edition of A Closer Look: “Carb-Loving Cuisine,” co-authors Ellen Kunes and Frances Largeman-Roth share these delicious, carb-rich recipes:  Cherry-Ginger Scones, Grilled Burger & Three-Bean Salad, Mediterranean Pasta Salad, and Raspberries with Chocolate Yogurt Mousse.

It is something I also want to know about and that’s the only reason I came here. I visited a site to get resume writing services uk and that’s how I got to know about the content here. I thought it'd be very interesting so I came here.

I do occasionally eat a low carb wrap or bread when I feel like it. I eat salads and cheeses and vegies and all the meats I want. And fruits and nuts, etc.

Thank you for all the wonderful downloads! Pray for the safety of Israel! While we know that God will always protect his people... those that live there are still terrified on a minute to minute basis.

I listened to the show tonight about the negative things regarding acarb-loving diet. I have to respectably disagree with what was said from my personal experience and that of many friends and relatives. I started living the low carb lifestyle about 7 years ago. It is NOT a diet but a way of life that if healthy and gives you so much energy. Your body starts to burn fat immediately on this diet. I heard it said tonight that the Low Carb "Diet" does not keep weight off and other negative things about it. I feel very strongly about this. I lost over 50 lbs and 50 inches before my 50th birthday. I went from a size 16 to a size 8 and I have stayed there. It is very easy to do and I AM full all the time. You should ask my husband I eat all the time. I do NOT eat the bun on my burger... and I heard it said tonight how can you enjoy a burger without the bun? I will tell you how... wrap it in lettuce and it is delicious. I do occasionally eat a low carb wrap or bread when I feel like it. I eat salads and cheeses and vegies and all the meats I want. And fruits and nuts, etc. All of my favorite foods and many foods. I do not miss out on anything on this diet. If I feel like desert there are plenty of sugar free candies, cookies and sweets out there ....even ice cream. Of course since I am at my goal weight and have stayed here for about 6 years now... I can have that special food in moderation if I desire it now and then. But living a low carb life style tends to decrease any cravings for those things very quickly. I had to voice my opinion about what was said. Low Carb Eating IS healthy and IT WORKS. Many friends and family members have done what I have done. I never felt better than I did after I started this lifestyle and how I feel now. I am never hungry and always eat the foods I love...and lots of them. Thanks for hearing me.

Do you have adobe reader? If not, try this: when you click on the "click here to download this resource" button, instead of clicking on "open", click on "save" ... and save to your desk top or something. And then open the PDF from there. That worked for me.
