Prayer of Discipleship!

"Send me." But where Lord? To do what? To bring pardon where there had been injury in a life I casually brush against at my daily work? [ But I had thought of meditating a teenage gang war in Chicago] To help turn doubt into faith in a person with whom I live intimately in my circle of family or friends? [But I had thought of helping a tired drunk on skid row!] To bring joy into a life, consumed by sadness which touches the hem of my life at drinking fountain? [But had thought only of a far-off mission land!] "Send me." Send me next door to speak some how to a human heart beating alongside mine. Send me to bear a note of dignity into a subhuman, hopeless situation. Send me to show forth joy in a moment and place where there is no joy, but only the will to die. Send me to reflect your light in the darkness of futility, mere existence, and the horror of casual human cruelty. But give your lights too Lord, in my own darknes and need. Teach us our responsibilities to you, our brother, and all the people out there.

Father, I want to thank You for Your loving kindness and faithfulness to me. You have always been my strong tower. You are a shield for me, my glory, and the One who lifts up my head [Ps. 3 :3]. You have heard all my petitions, You have seen my tears, and You have answered me  according to Your divine purpose. I stand in awe of your great power. I do not have adequate words to express the depth of my gratitude to You for all You have done in providing for me, protecting me,  comforting me, empowering me, and adopting me into Your family. I lift up to You the words of Mary, the mother of Your dear Son, Jesus: "For the Mighty One is holy, and he has done great things for me. He shows mercy from generation to generation to all who fear him. His mighty arm has done tremendous things! He has scattered the proud and haughty ones. He has brought down princes from their thrones and exalted the humble. He has filled the hungry with good things and sent the rich away with empty hands. [Luke 1:48-53 NLT].  Thank You, Father. for never reneging on Your Word. It has been my anchor in the midst of every storm. Iam eternally grateful to You for Your goodness and Your wonderfuls works. I exalt Your name above every name on the earth. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen!

Poem-------- The Diffrence

I got up early one morning and rushed right into the day; I had so much to accomplish, I didn't have time to pray. Problems just tumbled about me, and heavier came each task. Why doesn't God help me? I wondered, He answered, " You didn't ask." I wanted to see joy and beauty, but the day toiled on, gray and bleak. I wondered why God didn't show me, He said, "But you didn't seek." I tried to come into God presence I used all my keys at the lock. God gently and lovingly chided, "My child you didn't knock." I woke up early this morning. and paused before entering the day. I had so much to accomplish that I had to take time to pray.

Get Alone Before Me!

If you want God to bless you out of your socks, start worshipping Him in your bedroom by yourself.Sure, God is pleased when you worship Him in church, but those chorues you sing before a service are to train you to worship. They're not going to get the job done. God is pleased with it, but you're going to have to come to a place that you decide you're going to have to come to a place that you decide you're going to have a relationship with God yourself, just you and Him. You can't live on your mother's relationship, your pastor's your daddy. You have to have a relationship with God yourself, and you're never have a relationship that is worth much to you unless you learn to put first things first. Matt, 6:33 [put on a worship cd in your worship time if you can].

Tears alone does not move God, desperation does not intimidate God, education does not influence God, manipulation does not control God, faith is the only voice God respects!
