He Breaks Us Tenderly

What an awesome God we serve! He tenderly breaks us and strengthens our trust and redeems our faith in Him even sometimes all at once. I have been breaking in a great way lately in the name of Jesus and I pray that if the Lord hasn't broken you that He will, and if He is breaking you that you hold on tight and endure. I have been having a diffiult time the past few weeks battling depression which hasn't cursed my heart for many moons in His service now, to the point that I was even leaning towards giving up on my faith. I brought it before the Lord and He let me know straight away that I was living sinfully out of disobedience to His commands that I love Him and love others with all that I have. He showed me that I was running to Him in confession and repentance for lustful thoughts which makes me an adulterer by the words of Jesus, and profaning His Sabbath day when the enemy seemed to entice me the greatest, but I wasn't repenting of my idolatry. He showed me that I am living in fear and shame the same that He died to set me free of. I was broken to sweet surrender on my knees before Him the tears that I cried in my depression becoming sweet mourning over my sin by the power and the presence of His Holy Spirit. I knew that the Lord is faithful and was working to break me so I might surrender all to Him with tenderness and sincerity. My heart began to rejoice at His deliverance and praise and worship to our Lord sang sweet symphonies from my heart. I was overwhelmed by His love and awestruck. That is our God. He shines His light on our skeletons so that they can be removed completely from the closets that are our hearts.

.  .God will never leave you or forsake you and He is so honest that in Jesus Christ He didn't tell us a lie even when it could be uncomfortable for us or we may not be willing to hear it. He didn't tell us that when we became a believer that things would be smooth sailing, but He did promise us that He would be with us 'til the end of the age. He said that we would face persecutions and have to face the cost of denying ourselves and following Him with all we have in us. God never does things half way, He went all the way for us in Jesus Christ who humbled Himself to give up His life for us, to even an accursed death on a cross. He died for you and although things in your walk with Christ may look impossible He is right there with you seeing you through for what He has done for me beloved, He can most assuredly do for you! God bless. .
