unconditional love

Jesus says, to have unconditional love for one another.  The bible says ,"All who are unclean, will be made clean."  But are we really willing to love every single person that much?

Jesus got criticized by everybody because he ate with those who were the poor, dirty people.  He healed the trashy prostitutes, condemned murderers & theives.  All the same people the society kept far away from them.  They were dirty, lost souls that could not be made clean. But then, Jesus told them all, that everyone was a child of God & they were cherished. All God wanted was acknowledgement as Our Creator, and that he, Jesus, was here to die our cursed death, so that we may have Everlasting Life.  All we have to do is believe and have faith in what he has told us in His Word, the Holy Bible.  We were ALL then eligible for total forgiveness & salvation.  ALL could have Everlasting Life.

Jesus told Every one of us who know Him, to go forth into the world and gather his sheep.  And He told us the attitude to have & demonstrated the most unfathomable unconditional love probably anyone can imagine.  So....

What does this say to us in today's christian society?  I realize Christianity is being attacked by many fronts today & it hurts Christians to have to see and be reminded of the so-called "lost souls" in our communities.   But that does not change the fact that we have all been given a charge in our lives & its up to us whether or not we can take that charge from Christ when we ourselves are saved.  Resisting temptations of our own is a difficult journey & we struggle along the way.  We ourselves are in need of forgiving & patience from the Lord everyday.  Why do we resist this biggest, most contentious threat?   Why do we turn our backs on the prostitutes on the street corner, act as though murderers are lost souls doomed to hell, shun gay people from our environment for 'acting' gay or being open.  Why do we continue to condemn & give up on all those people, even though everything in the Gospel compells us to love, no matter what; because, everyone is worthy of being saved simply by being a creation & child of God.  That alone gives everyone the right to be treated with dignity & respect.  All are worthy of our patience  & simple kindness, these facts are never lost.    It is also clear that we cannot control anyone else, we do not know anyone else's true heart and where they stand with the Lord.  We are not the Supreme Judge, we are mere mortals, just as tempted and just as weak from the struggles.

When I really think about what unconditional love feels like, I think of my children first.  But from the view of a father, as God is, I think about my human father.  Think about a relationship you have like that.  My father was a good man and I thank God for that.  I completely broke his heart many times in my life.  In fact, the only times I've ever seen him cry, is because of me.  That makes me feel so terrible.  He is a very manly-man type man.  But my father never stopped having that unconditional love for me.  He would have gave his life for me without any hesitation.  No matter what I had done or was doing.  He had the greatest ability to forgive me, protect me, & encourage me.  I feel that way about my children, also.  I'm sure you cannot imagine an unconditional love greater, than the one you know in your life either.   God is love.  There is no greater love than that.  Unconditional love was part of a pact we made when we became Christians.  Keep that in mind each time you are confronted with a "dirty soul".    Praise Jesus, who saved me, a sinner.  Praise Him that He came to Save all of us.

Central to God's nature is His love. God expresses His love through the choice of a people -- lsrael in the Old Testament and the church in the New. Love underscores all His actions relating to His people. God delivered Israel from Egypt, and Jesus laid down His life on the cross, all out of love. Divine love, called agape, is active and self-giving. Like the father of the prodigal son (Luke 15:11-32), God constantly extends His love, despite our moral lapses and personal failures. God's love in Christ is universal. Perhaps the most familiar scripture in the Bible begins, "For God so loved the world…." (John 3:16). Christ's atoning death brought eternal life to the unloved and unlovely sinners of this world.

On the other side, Getafe finished 12th in LaLiga last season. It was also the best achievement for the team nicknamed Azulones, because the previous 3 seasons were only stuck in 15th place.

This season there have been many changes in the Getafe camp. They lost one of their mainstay players, Mason Greenwood, who has returned to MU and then moved to Olympique Marseille. It is worth waiting to see whether Getafe can provide a surprise, or Bilbao can maintain the performance like last season?

Athletic Bilbao is determined to end the minor trend throughout the 2024 preseason. This weekend Bilbao will host Getafe in the opening match of the 2024/2025 LaLiga, Friday (16/8/2024) early morning. Throughout the last preseason, Los Leones were only able to win 3 times, but had to suffer 4 defeats.
